Have any classics you'd recommend?

Pride and Prejudice and the Great Gatsby!!
I haven’t read many ‘classics’ as of yet, but those ones were both really good.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern! #recommendations

I’ve been wanting to read this novel for ages!

can you recommend your top favourite romance novels? - 19yo college student

Hello!

  • Sarah Dessen and Deb Caletti have some amazing stories
  • Perfect Chemistry and Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  • The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (I’m not sure it’s really classified as ‘romance’ but it’s still heart warming and lovely and wonderful)
  • Let It Snow is a book of three short stories by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle (though I didn’t have the patience to read hers)
  • Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

I hope something there catches your eye!

I highly recommend Alice I Have Been by Melanie Benjamin. It is great for anyone who likes Alice in Wonderland - the story follows Alice Liddel's life from the time she was a small girl up until she's 80 years old (using a mix of historical facts and literary license). VERY good story-telling!

That sounds amazing! Thanks for the rec! :)

I love your blog, can you recommend me a book or authors, please? I've just finished 'will grayson will gray' by John Green, Perks of being a Wallflower, It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. I don't really like books with romance or like the hunger games, I like coming of age sort books, I just can't find anything, please help :3

Hi! Thank you! :D

One’s that I’ve read that I recommend are:

  • All of John Green’s other books
  • 13 Reasons Why - Jay Asher
  • Speak - Laurie Halse Anderson
  • 13 Little Blue Envelopes - Maureen Johnson
  • Before I Fall - Lauren Oliver
  • North of Beautiful - Justina Chen Headley

And then I found some lists from Goodreads:

Good luck!!

any suggestions on lgbt? emphasis on the b?

The only two I’ve really read have been:

  • Will Grayson, Will Grayson by David Levithan and John Green
  • Hero by Perry Moore

But I’m EXTREMELY happy that you’ve asked this because now I get to do a bunch of research and find a bundle of new books to read. :)
I’ve found a few lists on goodreads that hopefully prove to be useful:

Hope they help!

I love big YA series books like The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments, The Faerie Court series, A Modern Faery Tale, the Pendragon books, etc. etc. Have anything of the like that isn't as well known?
  • Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
  • The Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong
  • Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter
  • Curse Workers by Holly Black
  • Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan (also his other two series)

Hope something appeals to you!
